Gothic paintings often used gold in many of its elements to bring light to the scene and as a symbol of wealth. The cleaning of the varnish and dirt layer has allowed us to correctly appreciate the piece recovering the sharpness of the colors of the Gothic painting and the luminosity provided by the gilding.
