Lluis Graner is an exponent of Catalan realism. He worked the genres of portraiture and landscaping.
In this artwork the aged varnish and overpainting coused by an old restoration, made without an appropiate criteria, devalued the value of the piece. After cleaning the darkened varnish layer and overpaint that hid part of the original sky we were able to recover the brightness of Graner’s paintings.
