Italian painter settled in Barcelona, he specialized in landscape paintings with urban scenes. The artist is known for his mastering of the technique, his precision, his fine detail and his good use of perspective.
This artwork is probably a smaller size version or a sketch for “The Plain of La Boqueria” (currently owned by the MNAC) that was shown for the Barcelona Universal Exposition in 1888.
